There is no place for Eden Hazard in Chelsea’s starting line-up for their game against Manchester United.
Many fans had expected the Belgian to start his first league game since December after making a series of cameo appearances from the bench, but that’s not the case.
Chelsea fans were quick to voice their anger on Twitter as Guus Hiddink persists with playing Oscar on the left side.
The 25-year-old hasn’t been in the greatest form this season and admitted he apologised to former boss Jose Mourinho via text for his disappointing displays, which helped contribute to the Portuguese’s sacking.
Hazard scored his first goal in 29 appearances this season in last week’s FA Cup tie against Watford and it was thought the goal who spark a decent run of form from the former Lille man.
However, he will have to change the game from the bench.
This game promises to be an exciting one. Neither Chelsea or United have reached expectations this season but both have hit form; the Blues are on a 10-game unbeaten streak while United are coming off their most impressive performance of the season following Tuesday’s 3-0 win against Stoke.
The history books don’t read well for United, though. The Red Devils haven’t beaten Chelsea home or away since 2012.
Their last win came in dramatic fashion, a 3-2 win at Stamford Bridge helped enormously by Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres’ both being sent off in the second half.
Hopefully we see a game similar to that one, and not the drab 0-0 draw the two teams put on when they faced other two months ago.
