Last Friday night, Conor McGregor was awarded "Fighter of the Year" at the World MMA Awards. He wasn't in Las Vegas to accept the award in person, but he still had plenty to say in a video package.
The current Featherweight Champion had a great 2015 with three wins, including two title fights, most notably his 13-second demolishing of Jose Aldo in December.
The show took place before the UFC Fight Night: Hendricks vs. Thompson event, but McGregor wasn't able to attend as he was in Ireland preparing for his upcoming fight against Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 196 on March 5.

The Irish fighter took a lot of shots at the other fighters in the room including the current UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum, who dropped out of his recent fight due to an injury after his opponent, Cain Velasquez, also pulled out due to injury.
He said, according to Fox Sports: "There's another man that must be slayed, another champion that must be dethroned. There's more numbers that need to be broken. I need to feed all you bums. I need to feed every one you in the game so I've got to keep working because youse bums don't work.
"You've got the heavyweight champion who's a p---y pulling out with a sore toe. How's the heavyweight champion going to pull out with a sore toe? What kind of champion is that?"
Werdum has since responded to McGregor's comments with a bizarre Instagram post.
Not sure how to interpret it, but it sounds like one day, McGregor would love to make the jump to heavyweight to take on Werdum. It's not like he isn't bold enough to take on some else in a different weight class already.
