We told you yesterday that Chelsea were interested in appointing Max Allegri as their new boss this summer - well, we’ve now got an update thanks to Giovanni Galeone. The Italian, as per Sky Sports, has claimed that Allegri received a ‘fantastic offer’ from Roman Abramovich, even though Allegri himself has promised not to leave his Juventus post. Galeone used to manage Allegri so could be privy to information not widely known - he certainly seems confident that the move will happen. Meanwhile, Blues defender Kurt Zouma will be out of action for six months after tearing his ACL during the draw with Manchester United. A statement on Chelsea’s official website said the defender would undergo surgery in the next 48 hours - he’s vowed to return stronger.
