Douglas Costa deserves his own performance show.

Everyone knows how skilful the Brazilian midfielder is - the gorgeous touch he produced in a recent Bayern Munich training session confirmed this - but Costa’s latest trick is absurdly good.

The 25-year-old shared a video of himself scoring an outrageous rabona from the corner position.

The sensational clip was posted to his Instagram page and has received nearly 60,000 likes.

It recalls memories of David Dunn’s infamous fall when he attempted a rabona for Birmingham.

But Costa isn’t Dunn. The attacking midfielder, a £21 million signing from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer, has settled into life in Germany exceedingly well, scoring five goals and recording 10 assists for the Bavarians.

Watch the stunning goal:

Guardiola departure

Bayern top the Bundesliga by eight points but are bracing themselves for life after Pep Guardiola. Last week the Spaniard announced he would join Manchester City at the end of the season, ending his three-year stay in Germany.

FC Barcelona v Chelsea FC - UEFA Champions League Semi Final

It certainly looks as if Costa and Guardiola will celebrate a German title but the one they really want is the Champions League. Guardiola has seen his team knocked out of the competition at the semi-final stage in each of the past two seasons and an intriguing clash against last year's finalists Juventus awaits in the round-of-16 stage.

Champions League hopes

Despite winning the Bundesliga title in consecutive seasons, Guardiola’s spell in Germany will be classed as a let down if he is unable to bring a Champions League trophy to Bavaria. Especially considering that his predecessor, Jupp Heynckes, won the tournament before he was replaced by Guardiola in 2013.

The gameplan for the Juventus tie should be relatively easy to draw up: let Costa take corners.
