If you believe that CM Punk can be a success in the UFC, then there is no better time than now to get your money on him.
By now, we all know that Punk's first UFC opponent will be the young upstart Mickey Gall with the two clashing at either UFC 199 in June, or UFC 200 in July.
And it seems the former WWE Superstar will be facing an uphill battle after bookmakers opened up their odds for Punk's debut against Gall, as he is a heavy underdog.

At the time of writing, MMAOddsBreaker.com currently have Gall as the huge favorite at -380, with Punk trailing far behind at +260.
Other sites aren't kind to Punk either, with BestFightOdds.com opening Gall at -300 and Phil Brooks at +230.
At +230, a Punk win would land £230 from a £100 bet along with the original stake placed on the ex-wrestler. Alternatively, Gall being at -300 would see a return of just £33.33 from the same bet.
The bookmakers expect Gall to win early as well, with the fight going under 1.5 rounds being the heavy leader.
It is absolutely no surprise that Punk is massively unfancied by Vegas. The former WWE Champion is already 37-years-old with an injury history that is worrying at best. He also only has around 18 months of actual training, which even if it is with the Gracie's, is nowhere near enough to become a legitimate UFC star.
Gall, on the other, is 14 years Punk's junior and has an impressive amateur history to go along with his unbeaten start to life in UFC.
Can Punk beat Gall in his UFC debut? Potentially. But just don't be surprised if this one ends with Mickey Gall having his hand raised.
