Only Lionel Messi will earn more money at Barcelona than Neymar when the Brazilian superstar signs a new contract at the club.
The 24-year-old is currently Barcelona’s seventh-highest earner but he will catapult up the rankings when a new deal is agreed.

Neymar and Sergio Busquets are both in line for extensions but it’s the forward who will benefit the most when an arrangement is reached.
Of course, Messi currently tops the list. He is immediately followed by Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique, but not for much longer.
AS reported last month that Neymar’s yearly salary will increase from €9.1 million to €17.6m, a staggering 93 per cent increase.
His future at Barcelona has been thrown into doubt amid off-field troubles and rumoured interest by Real Madrid and Manchester United, but those eye-watering numbers are set to confirm Neymar’s long-term career at the Camp Nou.
The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that Manchester City have made contact with Busquets after the midfielder admitted he could be persuaded to leave Barcelona by Pep Guardiola, City’s new manager.
However, Busquets told Marca this week: “[Guardiola] knows that this is my club and the best thing for me and the club is that I’m here and I would never ask to go.”
Luis Suarez currently sits sixth on Barcelona’s earnings list but he will almost certainly receive a new deal if he continues his brilliant goalscoring record.
The former Liverpool striker has scored 36 goals in all competitions this season and leads the La Liga scoring chart.
