During this month's Pay-Per-View Fastlane, Roman Reigns faces off against the company's two most popular fan favourites; Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose.
With his every move almost guaranteed to bring chorus after chorus of boos, are the WWE building toward an unlikely heel turn by the man they've pushed to be the baby face to one day replace John Cena?
With a title shot at Wrestlemania in the balance against the 14 time World Champion, Triple H hanging in the balance, the three Superstars will compete under triple threat rules at the Cleveland, Ohio show on February 21st. The first to score a pinfall or submission on either opponent will then go on to challenge The Game in the main event of Wrestlemania.

Try as they might, the WWE has been unable to endear the generic good guy Roman Reigns character to the fans, with his former Shield partner Dean Ambrose becoming the far more popular character, with his crazed anti-hero antics and devil may care attitude.
A situation not dissimilar to that of his cousin The Rock's back in his formative years at the WWE. The then Rocky Maivia was booed mercilessly by the fans in spite of his good guy persona, it wasn't until he turned on the fans that he gained the depth in character that allowed him to become The Rock as we know him today.
So far it has looked liked we've been building to a Roman vs Triple H Main Event at 'Mania but with this swerve it could play out totally different. It's highly unlikely that two hated characters would go toe-to-toe at the biggest show of the year, so that leaves us with either Triple H vs Lesnar, a match that has happened on multiple occasions in recent years.
Or Triple H vs Dean Ambrose, which would delight the more vocal sections of the WWE universe. Having Roman Reigns allied with the Authority also creates a ready made angle for Seth Rollins upon his return from injury.
The man who walked out champion at the end of last year's Wrestlemania is currently out of action for the next three to six months and, in storyline, will surely not be happy to have his spot being filled by Roman Reigns of all people.
But what of Brock Lesnar? The Beast is almost certain to be involved in a match with the Wyatt Family at Wrestlemania with all that happened on Raw and the Royal Rumble.
Although Triple H is widely regarded as one of the greatest workers of all time in the ring, without an interesting twist in this storyline I feel the fans will lose interest in the Main Event and hope The New Day can keep carrying the show as they have been all year. But with Vince McMahon back on our screens nothing is likely to be cut-and-dry.
