WWE Fastlane is right around the corner, and the event will be the final chance many superstars have to show they deserve a place on the WrestleMania card.
Perhaps it’s easier this year considering we have so many injuries taking place – as well as the Daniel Bryan retirement – so the WWE will be looking to go all out at WrestleMania, but the tone needs to be set this Sunday in Cleveland.
Seven matches have been announced for the event, and numerous stars will be looking to impress in their respective matches, here are the ones that have the most pressure on them to put on good performances.

I have no doubt in my mind that Kevin Owens will step on Sunday when it matters. He’s easily one of the most consistent stars on the roster today, and you can see that the WWE have enough faith in him to give him the Intercontinental Championship – especially when Dean Ambrose was at the height of his success in recent years.
WrestleMania is almost upon us, and the Intercontinental Championship should be on the line in a prominent match, and I believe Owens is the star to do that. Not only that, he could have a big WrestleMania moment as well.

To do that, he needs to have a great ‘warm-up’, and he’s got a great opponent in Dolph Ziggler to go out and steal the show at Fastlane. If he can impress at the event, then we can be sure he’d be a big player in Texas.
NAOMI & TAMINA
Naomi and Tamina are in an interesting situation now, they haven’t been involved in the Diva’s Championship picture for quite some time, and they’ve recently lost the most popular member of Team BAD, and now they go up against her at Fastlane.
They’re going up against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, and the two are expected to feature in the Diva’s Championship match at WrestleMania. This shows that it’s key for Naomi and Tamina to step up and help put on a fantastic women’s tag team match.
If they can do their part and make it a great match as well as putting up a great effort, then that will bode well for them in these vital months. If they flop, then they can make their way to the back of the line again.
Ambrose has had a fantastic few months, holding the Intercontinental Championship was just a start. He was the Royal Rumble runner-up, and now he finds himself in an opportunity where he can head to the WrestleMania main event and face Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The WWE recently took the Intercontinental Championship off him which could show he’s in with a shout to win at Fastlane, or they could just be throwing a curveball our way. Ambrose has been impressive, and that needs to continue through Fastlane and into WrestleMania.
Ambrose shouldn’t be in this match simply to be pinned; he’s shown how valuable and entertaining he can be, and he deserves an opportunity to shine in the big time. Now is his time, if he can impress at Fastlane and show he belongs there, then a championship will come his way.
Fans are still coming to terms with the fact that the phenomenal one is competing for the WWE; it’s surreal but welcomed. His first feud has been booked perfectly, it’s been a slow build-up, and nothing has been over the top while The Miz has been impressive as a third wheel also.
I think AJ will do brilliantly, obviously, Jericho is a perfect opponent because he’s used to the Japanese and the WWE style of wrestling, so it makes it easier for Styles to adjust. Jericho has done it all, and it’ll be great to see two fantastic wrestlers go at it in a WrestleMania calibre match.
If AJ can create waves at Fastlane then who knows what’s in store for him in Texas, I feel the WWE could have something big planned.
