Athletic Bilbao claimed a 1-0 win on the road against Marseilles in the Europa League tonight to earn a key advantage in their attempt to make it through to the last 16 of the competition.
However that was only part of the story. It was Aritz Aduriz who scored the game's only goal - and boy, was it special.
Midway through the second half at the Stade Vélodrome, the ball fell into the path of the 35-year-old, who unleashed an unstoppable dipping volley from 35-yards out that flew beyond the grasp of goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

Bilbao now have a crucial away goal in the tie, meaning Marseilles will have to score at least twice in order to make it through at the San Mames next week.
Also featuring in the game was former Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher. The Scotland international had a shot blocked in the first half as he attempted to break the deadlock, and was otherwise quiet throughout.
Elsewhere in the Europa League, Tottenham hold the upper hand in their tie against Fiorentina after playing out a 1-1 draw in Florence. Nacer Chadli opened the scoring for Mauricio Pochettino's side from the penalty spot after Ben Davies went down in the area, before Filippo Bernardeschi levelled things up with a deflected strike in the second half.
Amongst the English clubs in the competition, Manchester United fell to a humiliating 2-1 defeat against Danish side FC Midtjylland, while Liverpool played out a lacklustre 0-0 draw with Augsburg in Germany.
Sevilla have one foot in the last 16 thanks to a 3-0 win against Molde, and Borussia Dortmund are in complete control of their tie against Porto after a 2-0 win on home soil.
However, by far the biggest winners of the night were Valencia; they ran out 6-0 winners against Austrian outfit Rapid Wien on manager Gary Neville's 41st birthday.
