Sir Bobby Charlton will roll out the welcome mat for Benfica on Tuesday and reflect on the night destiny called for Manchester United.

Tuesday´s Champions League clash marks the first time the two European giants have faced each other since May 28, 1968, when Matt Busby´s dream came true and United lifted the European Cup.

Busby is no longer around, but that will not stop Charlton, who scored the Red Devils´ first and last goals in a 4-1 extra-time win at Wembley, thinking about his old boss and the fulfilment of a lifetime´s work. "The emotion of it all after the final whistle was pretty intense," Charlton told PA Sport.
