Ever since The Lucha Dragons made their main roster debut last year, many of the WWE Universe have been waiting for WWE to give Kalisto a singles push.
Finally WWE were forced to give Kalisto what that fans wanted after his partner Sin Cara suffered a dislocated shoulder and the high flyer had just picked up a Slammy award for his incredible Salida Del Sol from the top of a ladder during the Tag Team Championship match at TLC.
KALISTO AS CHAMPION?
Kalisto is already a two-time United States Champion after he held the title for just a day after he shocking pinned Alberto Del Rio on Raw and the League of Nations then returned the favour on SmackDown.

Just six days later at The Royal Rumble, Kalisto once again pinned Del Rio and has held onto the United States Championship since.
The masked star once again faces Del Rio at this weekend's Fastlane event in a match that has been shockingly relegated to the kick-off show.
The match has even been given a stipulation as a two out of three falls match after very little build into it, it was decided on Social Media that the match would be stipulated but it will remain on the pre-show.
Fastlane is just a filler pay-per-view and it is aptly named because WWE currently is on the Fastlane to WrestleMania, but this now means that there will only be one male WWE Championship defended on the main card of the event.
If Dean Ambrose didn't lose his championship to Kevin Owens this week on Raw, then the Intercontinental Championship likely wouldn't be defended either.
The WWE Universe have come to the point where the Kalisto vs Del Rio feud has become rather stale, but that is no reason to allow one of the championships that WWE worked hard to make prestigious to have a place on a YouTube show.
Given that the Tag Team Championships and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship are not scheduled to be defended at the event, this would have been the perfect time for WWE to allow their two mid-card belts to have some of the limelight.
