The WWE confirmed yesterday that The Godfather will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2016.
He becomes the second member of that class, alongside Sting, and they will be inducted in during the weekend of WrestleMania 32 in April.
We have heard rumors in the past on possible candidates that will be entering the Hall this year, which include John Bradshaw Layfield, Jacqueline Moore, Regis Philbin (as part of the Celebrity wing), and The Fabulous Freebirds.

However, one more name has been rumored recently because of his retirement announcement two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, Daniel Bryan. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion only retired from the WWE on February 8's edition of Raw due to medical issues.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Live, via Wrestling Inc, he has heard Bryan could be inducted alongside Sting and The Godfather later this year at WrestleMania 32.
If this is true, the former Intercontinental Champion would follow a similar path to current WWE Hall of Famer Edge, who also retired early due to injury after WrestleMania XXVII and was inducted into the Hall the year after in 2012.
It is worth noting that WWE would only induct Bryan into the Hall if they felt Sting wasn't a big enough draw. If they do feel he is a big enough name to headline the Class of 2016, the company will likely hold off Daniel's induction until next year, where he himself would likely be the headliner.
WWE will be showing respect to the former WWE champion later this year during a Road to WrestleMania house show on March 25 at Madison Square Garden, which has been named 'Daniel Bryan Night'. Bryan is expected to be in attendance and will likely be honored in the ring.
