Manchester United’s shock victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday means the Gunners are still yet to beat the Red Devils away from home in the Premier League for nearly a decade.
Louis van Gaal’s men have endured a difficult season, but a brace from Marcus Rashford and second-half strike from Ander Herrera extended their recent run of good form.
Elsewhere, the defeat will have come as a blow to Arsene Wenger’s side, whose hopes of beating Leicester City and Tottenham to the Premier League title now appear to be fading fast.

Here are United’s best three victories over their fierce rivals in the ten years that have passed since they last lost a home league game to Arsenal in September 2006.
Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal
Arsenal were in a mess and question marks hung high over Wenger’s head when his side travelled to Old Trafford in August 2011, widely expected to lose to Sir Alex Ferguson’s free-scoring side.
But nobody anticipated the rout that would unfold across 90 minutes of pulsating football, with United responding to Manchester City’s 5-1 victory over Tottenham earlier that day to regain pole position in the league table.
Wayne Rooney hit three, Ashley Young struck twice and goals from Nani, Ji-Sung Park and Danny Welbeck made it an afternoon to remember at the Theatre of Dreams.
The day was made even sweeter by David de Gea saving a Robin van Persie penalty after being criticised for a poor debut in the Community Shield weeks earlier.
Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal
The Red Devils beat Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford in April 2008 to strengthen their title bid and ultimately rule their rivals out of the race.
The nerves were obvious on a thrilling afternoon up north and they increased when Emmanuel Adebayor bundled the ball home to give the visitors the lead.
However, United soon drew level after William Gallas handled in the area, Cristiano Ronaldo dispatching the penalty to spark hopes of a comeback.
And the victory was achieved with 20 minutes of the clash remaining when a sensational free-kick from Owen Hargreaves beat Jens Lehmann and gave Ferguson’s side reason to dream of yet more silverware.
Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal
Having lost out on the crown to Chelsea the season prior, United were hell-bent on regaining the league title when Arsenal came to Old Trafford in December 2010.
And they bolstered their hopes of lifting the trophy on a nervy night that ultimately proved decisive.
Park scored the only goal of the game with his deft header beating debutant Wojciech Szczesny - even a Rooney penalty miss couldn't spoil United's party.
The Red Devils won the title with a game to spare, whereas Arsenal secured European football in fourth place.
