Newcastle has reportedly sent scouts to watch Anderlecht's 18-year-old wonderkid Youri Tielemans.
The midfielder has already made over 100 appearances for the Belgian side, including impressive performances against Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
According to the Evening Chronicle, the Magpies' representatives watched Anderlecht claim a 1-0 win over Olympiakos in their first leg of the Europa League. However, in typical Toon Army style, Tielemans was benched and only appeared from the 74th minute.

Named Belgian Talent of the Year in 2014, Tielemans' maturity defies his age. To twice win Young Footballer of the Year in a country with so much world-class talent is a sign of how far Tielemans can go.
Often linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, it's a surprise to see Newcastle's name amongst his potential suitors. Although the Premier League is where the money and spotlight is, relegation-threatened Newcastle may not even be there next season.
They do, however, have the advantage of fellow Anderlecht alumni Chancel Mbemba and Aleksandar Mitrovic. Such familiarity will surely boost his chances of settling in England. And in a world where Xherdan Shaqiri, Dimitri Payet and Yohan Cabaye play for Stoke, West Ham and Crystal Palace, the new Premier League money will raise the talent level at lower clubs.
The Belgian under-21 international has interest from all around Europe, with Sevilla, Juventus, Napoli, Inter Milan and AC Milan willing to meet the £8 million asking price. This season's five goals from 29 appearances could drive it up further.
