Triple H once again destroyed a former member of The Shield this week on Raw, and now it seems that Dean Ambrose will be given a chance to extract the revenge he deserves when he faces Triple H for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
It has been announced that this match will be happening at the newly named WWE RoadBlock (Roadblock on the FastLane to WrestleMania) Network special next weekend.
WORLD CHAMPION MATERIAL?
Ambrose was handed many chances at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when Seth Rollins was Champion in 2015 but came up short at every attempt, he was then given the chance to win the title at Survivor Series last year, but once again a former Shield ally stood in his way.
Roman Reigns has been the block that has stopped Dean Ambrose at his last two attempts and with the former World Champion currently on the treatment table for an undetermined amount of time, this could finally be Ambrose's chance to shine.
Triple H will be defending his Championship at WrestleMania in a months time when he faces Roman Reigns in the main event, which means that it is highly unlikely that WWE would allow a title change here, but if Ambrose impresses the boss, then who known what awaits him in the near future?
WWE have booked themselves into a corner once again, they need to allow Dean to extract revenge for what happened to him on Raw this past week, but because of the way that WrestleMania has already been set up, it seems Ambrose wont be able to win the Championship.
The fact that Brock Lesnar will also be in attendance next Saturday night shows that WWE are obviously setting Ambrose up for a beat down, possibly by both men and then Reigns may finally make his return if his nose is healed in time.
Once again Ambrose is being used as a way to put Reigns over further and WWE are completely over looking him as any kind of competition for the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
This could be why Ambrose will inevitably turn heel before the end of the year, because Reigns is gaining all of the shots that he should be having and he told Reigns before that he didn't need his help, because he is a very proud superstar.
If Reigns does attempt a save, and if next weekend is nothing but a set-up, then it does seem likely that the set-up will be about a lot more just than gaining Reigns' attention before their showdown at WrestleMania.
