For many Arsenal supporters, Wednesday night’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium was a new low for Arsene Wenger.
This was the perfect opportunity for the Gunners to bounce back after last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford - and one they simply had to take.
However, Swansea ended up winning the match, leaving just about every Arsenal fan wondering whether Wenger has outstayed his welcome.

Piers Morgan sums up the feelings of Arsenal fans
Arsenal fans were perplexed that Wenger had taken off his team’s best-performing player, instead of Olivier Giroud.
Piers Morgan summed up the feelings of every supporter when he tweeted: “What?????? Wenger takes off the one player who's shown any bloody heart? Absolutely appalling management. #campbell”
The broadcaster added: “Wenger takes off Campbell, who was playing superbly, and keeps on Giroud who's played like a donkey. Ridiculous. #afc”
“Giroud's now gone 10 games without a goal. I've run out of things to say about him. #afc”.
Fans angry after the match
Some of the reactions on Arsenal Fan TV were also, as expected, extremely animated. Supporters are immensely frustrated that, yet again, the wheels seem to be falling off for Arsenal at the worst possible time.
The Gunners now find themselves six points behind league-leaders Leicester City, but they remain three points behind fierce rivals Tottenham who were beaten 1-0 by West Ham last night.
North London derby is huge for Wenger
Arsenal take on Tottenham on Saturday afternoon and it’s the most significant north London derby in years.
Wenger will be acutely aware that he can win back the hearts of the Arsenal fans by beating Spurs at White Hart Lane this weekend - but motivating his team could be a problem following consecutive defeats against Barcelona, Manchester United and now Swansea City.
A fourth successive loss, at the home of their local rivals, would be a disaster for Wenger - and it’s inevitable that an even larger number of fans will be calling for his head.
Some fans - such as Claude from Arsenal Fan TV - believes Wenger should go regardless of whether Arsenal win the Premier League title this season.
The club are in dire need, in his opinion, of fresh ideas following 20 years under Wenger’s management.
