It was only a few months ago when we were talking about Crystal Palace as potential candidates for Europa League football next season.

The Englishman has previous experience of relegation battles - he was part of a Sunderland side to have fought against the drop in the past three seasons - and will need to use this to ensure Palace aren't forced to battle for their own safety.
The 22-year-old scored crucial goals to keep the Black Cats in the Premier League in the 2013/14 season, including hugely important strikes against Chelsea and Manchester City.

While the Englishman’s ability to take a chance has often been criticised, he showed what he's capable of with a wonderful volley against Tony Pulis' Baggies (see below) despite being on the end of a 3-2 defeat.
Palace are far too good for relegation, but they'll need Wickham to continue his fine form if they're to get back to winning ways and ensure no threat of the drop emerges.
