Cristiano Ronaldo used to love entertaining crowds with his wide range of skills during the early years of his career with Sporting Lisbon and then Manchester United.
The Portuguese superstar has become an out-and-out goal machine since joining Real Madrid, particularly in recent seasons, but he proved during Los Blancos’ latest training session on Friday that he’s still capable of pulling off the odd eye-catching trick.
While participating in a rondo, Ronaldo channeled the spirit of Ronaldinho by producing an elastico - or a flip-flap, if you’d prefer - before celebrating like he’d just owned his teammate. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Interestingly, none of his teammates so much as reacted. Perhaps they were concentrating too intently on the ball, or maybe they didn’t think the skill was worthy of celebration - or even acknowledgement.
It would have been better had Ronaldo pulled off a nutmeg in the process, that’s for sure, but it was still a decent attempt. However, we’re not sure it quite warranted such a reaction from the three-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Video: Cristiano Ronaldo pulls of elastico in training
Ronaldo produced an even more animated celebration after nutmegging Raphael Varane in training last week - although, to be fair, that’s a pretty impressive achievement.
Celta Vigo up next for Ronaldo and co.
Zinedine Zidane will be looking to Ronaldo to inspire Real Madrid once again against Celta Vigo on Saturday, as the Spanish giants recover from last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to rivals Atletico at the Bernabeu.
They beat Levante 3-1 in midweek - Ronaldo scoring the opening goal from the penalty spot - but will be looking to give their home supporters something to smile about against Celta, back at the Bernabeu, this weekend.
Real Madrid now find themselves 12 points behind league-leaders Barcelona and out of contention for La Liga, but everyone associated with the club will still be desperate to finish the season above Atletico in the table.
AS Roma second leg on Tuesday
Zidane will also be acutely aware that victory this weekend will keep the momentum building ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions League clash against AS Roma.
Real Madrid lead 2-0 on aggregate after their fantastic 2-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico last month but must avoid complacency against the Italian club.
Gareth Bale is back
One key player back for Zidane’s side, as you might have noticed in the video, is Gareth Bale.
And the Real Madrid boss is delighted that the Wales international is available for selection again.
"Bale is going to come into the group and that's a joy for everyone," Zidane was quoted as saying by Goal. "Then we'll see how it goes with this issue.
"The important thing is to be with Real Madrid, in the team, and then we will see.”
