It’s been an incredible ten days for Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
The 18-year-old was handed his debut last Thursday in the Europa League clash against Midtjylland when Anthony Martial suffered an injury in the warm-up.
He marked his first ever senior match with two crucial goals which helped the Red Devils progress into the last-16.
He followed that up with a brace against Arsenal three days later to make it four goals in his first two matches.
He even attracted the attention of England manager Roy Hodgson who dropped a hint that Rashford could be included in his squad for Euro 2016.
“I would neither rule him in or rule him out, I just hope he can do well,” the Three Lions boss told reporters.
“Scoring four goals in three games is a great achievement. If he can keep that up, it is great for Manchester United and England.”
And now, according to Manchester Evening News, chiefs at EA Sports have noticed Ashford’s incredible start to his career and have decided to bump up his 59 rating on FIFA.
However, United fans shouldn’t get too carried away and start putting Rashford ahead of Wayne Rooney and Martial in their teams because they have only chosen to upgrade him to 65.
Surely his incredible week deserves a bigger increase?
That rating puts at about a League One level and still a long off his teammates at Old Trafford.
But if he can continue his impressive form, don’t be surprised to see his ratings soar along with his reputation in world football.
Rashford is set to play a big part in the remainder of the season for United. The club have an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season, as they sit sixth in the league, three points behind Manchester City in fourth.
They are also in the FA Cup quarter-final where they host West Ham and clash with Liverpool in the Europa League last-16.
