England named their first-choice XI for their opening World Twenty20 warm-up against New Zealand in Mumbai.

Sides are permitted to use all 15 players in practice fixtures but England are keen to replicate a match situation and have left Liam Dawson, Sam Billings, David Willey and James Vince out of their side.

All four are expected to be given a chance in a mix-and-match fixture against a local XI on Monday, but face an uphill battle to play their way into the team for the tournament.

The Black Caps, who plan to use 12 players, won the toss and elected to bat first.
