With Tottenham seemingly guaranteed Champions League football next season, it’s time for them to start preparing their shopping list for the summer.
The lure of Champions League football is enough to attract world-class talents from around Europe but it seems they could be tempted to look a little closer to home.
That’s because The Sun are reporting that the north London club are plotting a sensational £25 million swoop for Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

The 25-year-old joined Anfield in 2011 for around £20 million and was handed the captaincy when Steven Gerrard left last summer.
But Mauricio Pochettino is looking to add the former Sunderland man to their ranks as they look to establish their top four status in seasons to come.
Many would consider a transfer to White Hart Lane as a sideways move for Henderson, but at the end of this season, Spurs will have finished above the Reds in six of the last seven campaigns.
Henderson has struggled for form recently on Merseyside, playing with a heel injury for the majority of the season.
It’s highly unlikely that Jurgen Klopp would be willing to sell his skipper to a team that is likely to rival them for a top-four finish next season.
And it would be surprising if Henderson himself is willing to leave a club that has made him captain, despite the chance to play in Europe’s elite competition.
If Spurs were to pull-off the incredible deal, they would boast an impressive midfield trio of Henderson, Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele.
Pochettino’s men still have a chance of winning their first league title since 1961 as they trail league leaders by five points with nine matches remaining.
