Whilst WWE is an American Sports Entertainment promotion, there are many UK based wrestling fans who would love to experience a WrestleMania event without having to travel across to America.
The last event of such calibre to take place on UK soil was 1992's SummerSlam event in front of more that 80,000 people and that night boasted The British Bulldog's win over Bret Hart to lift the Intercontinental Championship.
BORIS WANTS WRESTLEMANIA?
In a recent question and answer session on Twitter, London Mayor Boris Johnson was asked if he would be open to finally bringing WrestleMania to Wembley, a place that can hold around 100,000 fans, which is the record WWE are hoping to set at this year's event inside the AT&T Stadium.

Boris replied that he was "dead keen" to shine a spotlight on wrestling because his father was a fairground wrestler and grassroots sport has benefited by £400,000 since 2008.
The fact that he refers to wrestling as a grassroots sport leads to the assumption that he perhaps isn't taking this question as seriously as first thought, but the fact that he has addressed it at all is a step in the right direction.
It will be interesting to see if Boris follows through with this mission and the WWE Universe this side of the pond is finally allowed to host WWE's biggest event of the year.
WWE IN THE UK?
WWE already travels over to the UK twice a year for their WrestleMania revenge tour in April and their second tour of the year in November.
These tours see WWE perform all over the country over the week and then present their Raw and Smackdown events live in front of the TV cameras from cities such as Liverpool, Manchester and London.
Many fans don't feel that the WWE travels over to the UK enough because whenever they do, the shows always sell out quickly.
Whether or not there are any plans to bring WrestleMania over to the UK is still something that Boris would have to ask. WWE as a company would be happy to offer something more to their UK fan base but until Boris asks the question then there is no way of knowing.
