Marcus Rashford kept up his streak of scoring in big games by giving Manchester United the lead against Manchester City.
The 18-year-old has now scored in his first professional game, first Premier League game and first Manchester derby.

The manner in which he ghosts past Martin Demichelis is incredibly worrying for a City team that is without Vincent Kompany for the foreseeable future.
United’s season has been mired to disappointment but Rashford’s emergence has been a huge plus. He looks fearless even on the biggest of stages and that bodes well for his United and England future.

If United are able to hold on - and we still have the second half to come - then they will close the gap to the Citizens to just one point.
That will concern Pep Guardiola hugely. The Catalan will arrive at City in the summer but he will be distraught if the club aren’t in next season’s Champions League.
Fierce competition for fourth place
But that is the way things are headed following a run of one win in five games. West Ham and United are right on their heels, and even seventh-placed Southampton can’t be ruled out of a top-four finish following their impressive 3-2 win over Liverpool earlier on in the day.
They can still turn things around, of course, but an injury to Raheem Sterling won’t help their cause. The England winger hobbled off and was replaced by Fernando midway through the first half.
