Louis van Gaal might be in the twilight of his managerial career, but the 64-year-old Dutchman is still capable of dishing out a dressing-room rollicking when required.
Just ask Anthony Martial.
However, the Manchester United forward has admitted that he struggles not to laugh whenever he’s on the receiving end of a verbal blast from his current boss.

“He yells at me,” Martial told RTL, per Goal. “It makes me laugh because I know it's for my own good.”
Martial also revealed that Leonardo Jardim, his former coach at AS Monaco, was similarly tough.
“He was very hard with me, that’s what I needed,” the France international continued.
Martial reveals warning from Deschamps
Another coach who has played a key role in Martial’s development is the current France head coach, Didier Deschamps.
Warned by Deschamps to avoid wasting his immense talent, Martial admits he’s worked hard ever since.
“[He said] what are you waiting with the qualities you have? It would be a huge waste,” the United star added. “He came to see his friends. I was there, I said hello and that's what he told to me.
"When somebody says something like that, it makes you aware of certain things, and I continued to work, and it paid off."

With 12 goals in all competitions this season, Martial is currently Manchester United’s second highest goalscorer behind Wayne Rooney.
It’s almost certain that Martial will be part of the France squad for this summer’s European Championships - and it will come as no surprise if he emerges as one of the players of the tournament.
