WWE released this training video of Dean Ambrose preparing for the Brock Lesnar match at Wrestlemania recently.
Not an unusual step, but the video contained some footage that has wrestling fans confused and excited.
The footage comes from Ambrose's days wrestling as Jon Moxley for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) and Dragon Gate USA. WWE are known to shy away from their superstar's indie careers and CZW is everything the PG era WWE is trying to get away from.

Matches do tend towards the violent and even gory but the quality of the wrestling is often high, much as the detractors would have you believe otherwise.
Ambrose (Moxley) had some spectacular matches in CZW, but it has to be noted that some of his work from that time is likely to frighten the children.
That said, the majority of the footage of Jon Moxley has already been included on the WWE Destruction of The Shield DVD so is out there in the WWE Universe. But to include it as part of a current storyline is a bold statement of intent.
To pair footage of Jon Moxley with Ambrose talking about his preparations is to encourage viewers to find out exactly what Dean Ambrose is capable of. The Moxley and Ambrose characters are similar enough not to jar the casual viewer - both, by his own admission, being extensions of the man himself.
But even CZW's least blood-soaked matches and more rational promos will show a man who will stop at literally nothing to secure the win.
It's a smart move by WWE. They've been pushing Dean's 'never say die' attitude as a counter to Brock Lesnar showing himself more than capable of throwing Ambrose around like a rag doll.
Providing footage like this, historical data if you like, to back up the promos brings out the authenticity Ambrose prides himself on. The Lunatic Fringe isn't just a gimmick, it's a lifestyle choice.
Most fans were already expecting a win for Dean Ambrose at Wrestlemania on April 3. A Lesnar victory makes no sense going forward. Adding the CZW footage to the mix is just a teaser of how far Ambrose may be prepared to go to get there.
This is likely to be the fight of the night. Brock may need to concentrate on surviving Ambrose rather than beating him.
