This Sunday at WrestleMania Roman Reigns competes in his second successive main event, this time he’s attempting to defeat Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
It’s clear the WWE were grooming him for this position ever since Seth Rollins pulled off the heist of the century last year when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract.
Since then Reigns has been in feuds where he’s looked strong and even became the WWE World Heavyweight Championship himself.

Now, he’s in the main event again, and you’d expect the WWE Universe to have changed their mind on him as he would have shown improvement and would also have shown us that he deserves his spot, but that isn’t the case.
Right now, the fans hate him – it’s the cold, hard truth. However, you’d expect that bitterness to stay out of the company itself.
According to DailyWrestlingNews.com, there are reports that many within the WWE are tired of being screamed at, reprimanded or scolded at by WWE officials because of whatever involvement they have with Reigns.
They’re also reporting that the management has intentionally been putting pressure on them to do a better job of helping Reigns go over with the crowd. When the fans fail to cheer him the other stars are getting the blame, and they’ll also get the blame when the Dallas crowd continue to hate on Reigns.
There has been heat from officials for a little while now, some of the writers and producers have had to deal with it, but it’s suggested the heat is now becoming noticeable to other personnel.
Not only that, there’s said to be a lot of heat on Reigns because of his involvement in the build-up to WrestleMania, or the lack of it.
In the build-up to his match with Triple H, Reigns had to take time off for ‘nose surgery’ which is forgivable as it's part of the story.
BIG NIGHT AHEAD
However, many within the company are said to be making a case that Reigns is the number one star in the company right now, and he’s taking the biggest spot on the WrestleMania card. So, if he’s doing that, then he should have worked a lot more or he should have been used far better by the writing team.
It’s a dog-eat-dog world in the wrestling industry; you don’t ask to be the top guy so if you’re offered the role you simply snatch it with both hands.
You can’t blame Reigns for the situation he’s in, and bitterness is expected in a situation like this whether you love him or hate him.
This Sunday will be an interesting day for Reigns; it’s no secret that he’s going to get booed by the fans, but it’ll be important to see how he deals with a record-breaking crowd treating him like that.
However, if other rumours are true then perhaps Reigns won’t be playing the good guy by the end of the night.
