CM Punk took a huge risk when he decided to take up mixed martial arts following his exit from the world of pro wrestling.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion took a huge step out of his comfort zone when stepping into the octagon and signing with the UFC.
However, the former wrestler has still yet to make his debut for the promotion - thanks to a combination of having to be trained and various injuries. There also might be another problem; he isn't very good.
According to a report that has been circulating around the Internet, Punk's woes in training camp may have just been revealed.
The rumour states that British fighting legend Michael Bisping appeared on a Sirius XM radio show where he revealed that Punk has lost nearly all of his practice fights.
You can check out the report from entimports.com here.
"Apparently, UFC middleweight fighter Michael Bisping went on a Sirius XM Radio show and said that Punk brought in 16 ‘smokers’ to the gym (smokers are essentially test fighters. You bring them in, go through a real fight situation in the gym, a gym fight if you will)," it states.
"The bad news, allegedly he lost to 15 of them."
The validity of this report has to be brought into question. The article starts off saying "source" when apparently they are just quoting what Bisping has said from an interview. That isn't how sources work at all.
It then goes on to say that "apparently" Bisping says these things. Well, he either did or he didn't? If it was on an actual radio show then why have they not just quoted him? It's all rather odd.
In any case, if what Bisping says is true then Punk's UFC career could be over a round or so into his fight with Mickey Gall, who looks like he has something to him.
