Brie Bella has officially announced her retirement from WWE following her final match at WrestleMania 32 where she gained the victory for her team when she forced Naomi to tap to the Yes Lock, a move made famous by her husband Daniel Bryan.
Following the match Brie's sister Nikki made her way to the ring and the team of Eva Marie, Paige, Alicia Fox and Natalya all lifted Brie aloft in celebration in what was, at the time, seen as a symbolic moment.
It seems Brie was allowed to force Naomi to tap because WWE were already aware that this was going to be Brie's last WWE match and they wanted her to bow out in style.

It was thought that WWE would then allow her to have a farewell address on Monday Night Raw, but this never happened, it was instead reported that the next season of Total Divas will cover Brie's entire retirement because it's not set to be mentioned on WWE TV.
Brie herself hinted at her retirement in the blow Instagram post before confirming her 'Mania match was her last in an interview with WWE:

Brie made the decision to retire from WWE early so that she and Daniel Bryan can finally start a family and so that she can be at home looking after her husband.
Bryan was forced to retire from WWE earlier this year and now it seems the duo are both set to head down new career paths, with Brie hoping to start a new company whilst also planning to become pregnant soon.
Brie's sister Nikki is also set to be part of their new business, with Nikki's future with WWE also currently up in the air since she has been informed that she is not yet ready for a ring return and her doctor is unsure if she will ever be able to make a full return to the company.
Nikki should have appeared on Raw last week, but was dropped at the last minute after she was warned that a bump at this stage of her rehab could potentially be considerably harmful to her neck. Instead, she appeared at WrestleMania to celebrate with her sister following her win, and hasn't been seen since.
It would make sense for her to also be looking at other career paths with her sister, since it is still unclear if she will ever wrestle again, but WWE still hold out hope that Nikki could be back in the ring before the end of the year.
