Paris Saint-Germain star Marquinhos has agreed to sign for La Liga giants Barcelona, according to

The report claims that Barcelona are still in negotiations with the Ligue 1 side and would be willing to spend as much as €50 million on his services. 

At 21-years-old, the Brazilian defender is one of the most exciting players in world football, so it's not entirely surprising that Luis Enrique is hoping to bring him to Camp Nou.

Despite reportedly agreeing a deal with the player, it appears that the Catalan club face an almighty fight to secure his signature. 

The report goes on to claim that PSG have previously expressed their desire to keep Marquinhos, but it has been documented that his representatives are keen for him to move on.

Current focus

For now, though, Barcelona's focus will be on ending this season on a high. Under Enrique's guidance, they have every chance of securing even more high-profile honours sooner rather than later.

With the likes of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar producing the goods, there may be no stopping them once again this season. 


And if Marquinhos arrives at the club in the next transfer window, then they are only going to become an even more formidable outfit. Barca look set to be a force to be reckoned with for some time to come.
