The contract states that Neymar’s salary is €5 million a season, a little over £4 million - which works out at just £77,000-per-week.

However, with numerous bonuses, he is ensured to earn at least €49.5 million over the duration of the five years.

A topic of conversation in recent weeks has been Neymar’s rumoured €190 million release clause. The superstar has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this month and the document reveals that he does, in fact, have that release clause.

Comments from Neymar's agent

Last week, Neymar’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, told L’Equipe that his client ‘dreams’ of playing for PSG.

"It's huge: 190 million euros. But I don't think that would be an insurmountable problem for PSG,” the agent said.

"If PSG show an interest in Neymar, we can discuss it.

"He feels good in Barcelona. He's loved over there and he's playing for the best team in the world."

Ribeiro continued: ”It's no small feat to impose yourself at such an enormous club.

"But the prospect of living in a city like Paris and to play for a club like PSG - that's also a dream for every player.

"We'll see in two years, when he will be at the end of his contract. A contract can also be terminated provided that the release clause is paid,” he concluded.

Bonuses

The document also states that the 24-year-old received a €8.5 million signing on fee.

Neymar came third in the 2015 Ballon d’Or and has been tipped to win the award one day. If he does whilst at Barcelona, he will receive €425,000.

The other bonuses that are included in Neymar’s contract are:

€637,500 each time Barcelona win La Liga.

€850,000 each time Barcelona win the Champions League.

€850,000 each time Barcelona win the Copa del Rey.

The Catalan club have an excellent chance of winning all three of the above trophies for the second consecutive season meaning Neymar could be set be another big pay day - a nice €1.7 million bonus.

Luis Enrique’s side are six points clear in La Liga, in the final of the Copa del Rey and beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

There are also plenty of clauses that Neymar is even more likely to achieve each season.

If he plays 60% of matches, he will receive over €1 million and each time they qualify for the Champions League Neymar collets €637,500.
