Following the biggest night of the year in professional wrestling, there is always a dip in excitement amongst the WWE Universe, when WrestleMania weekend is over.

Thanks to the stars of NXT however, followers of WWE now have several reasons to look forward to wrestling broadcasts in the near future.

NXT's Takeover: Dallas show which took place two nights prior to WrestleMania 32, simply set the standard for the whole wrestling weekend extravaganza.

Now these highly-anticipated events are over, there is little argument that NXT Takeover: Dallas, succeeded in coming out on top when compared to the show which WWE produced on Sunday night.

No comparison

Whilst WrestleMania 32 was enjoyable for wrestling fans, it unfortunately managed to produce several confusing and disappointing outcomes, which WWE has undoubtedly favoured as of late.

Prior to the event, few members of the WWE Universe would have predicted that Zack Ryder would have won the Intercontinental Championship, or that Charlotte would be the winner of the WWE Women's Championship.

Appearances made by wrestling legends Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin somewhat carried the show, and still did not prove enough to put it on a par with what NXT had produced just two nights before.

WWE's developmental brand kept it simple by having fewer matches, with top-class wrestlers and outcomes which kept fans on the edge of their seats.

NXT stars

With this in mind, WWE managed to carry forward this excitement to Monday Night Raw following WrestleMania 32, with NXT stars yet again proving to be the biggest success of the night.

Following his worthy win of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal match, Baron Corbin made his Raw debut in style, much to the delight of the crowd in attendance at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Add to this the exciting duo of Enzo Amore and Big Cass, as well as a surprise debut by Apollo Crews, and it is easy to see that WWE's best reception comes from the inclusion of these NXT stars.

Those in charge of WWE as well as the company's creative team must look to produce matches in a way which incorporates the fresh talent of NXT wrestlers whilst maintaining the focus of those who make up the current main roster.

This, in turn, will enable not just a fair balance between both areas of the company to take place, but will also provide an ideal platform for the aforementioned NXT stars to work their way onto the top level of the industry with ease.
