WWE currently has Roman Reigns lined up to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against AJ Styles at Payback on May 1.
This is going to be a great match for the WWE Universe, as they finally get to see one of their favorite former indy wrestling stars compete for what is arguably the top prize throughout the entire wrestling and sports entertainment scene.
Will he win the championship? Probably not, as Reigns is being built as the WWE's hand-picked future and therefore, he is likely to retain. It wouldn't make sense for him to lose the title so quickly after the company made a big deal of it at WrestleMania 32 when he defeated Triple H.

If he does retain, a possible opponent for his championship could be a former foe according to reports, in the form of Bray Wyatt.
Cageside Seats has speculated that: "Not surprisingly, WWE is thinking of going back to the Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt well again soon, though how soon is up in the air."
This feud took place around about this time last year, after the leader of The Wyatt Family knocked Reigns off the ladder during the Money in the Bank ladder match just as he was about to grab the briefcase at the top of the ladder at the corresponding event.
Their first feud ended at Hell in a Cell last year, with the former Shield member coming out on top overall, but this time around, things could end a lot differently, and a double-turn could well and truly be on the horizon.
Ever since WrestleMania 32, Reigns has looked like he is transitioning towards a heel turn, with a more arrogant approach to matters after finally knocking off The Authority. With him currently being booed by the WWE Universe as well, due to being hand-picked for the title, a heel turn makes sense.
With Bray Wyatt moving towards a face turn as well - as The Wyatt Family is currently being cheered for their feud with the League of Nations - it makes sense to do a double-turn with these two superstars at some point if they were to face one another.
Fans are going to react strongly to anyone going up against Reigns because they hate how he has been forced down their throats. Having someone as talented as Wyatt go against him, will only make the crowd boo him more, and cheer for his opponent, especially if he ends up taking the title as well.
