Trailing 2-0 from the first leg, Zinedine's Zidane's side produced a fine display to book their place in the semi-final of the competition.
Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo stole the show, of course, as his sublime hat-trick separated the two sides on a passionate night in the Spanish capital.

Ronaldo hits back
Despite his brilliant goal return, Ronaldo has had to endure a number of critics throughout the course of the campaign, but it's safe to say that he responded in style on Tuesday.
Ronaldo, as per the BBC, insisted that it had been a 'magic night' for him.
The Portuguese superstar stated: "Considering this has been a 'bad' season for me, it has not been that bad.
"It was not the best, but one of my best, European nights.
"It was a magic night for me. I'm very happy after having scored three goals and raised my numbers, but the most important thing was the team. The team was intense and played very well. It is a beautiful night.
"People can criticise me but I just keep on going and the numbers are there for all to see. I am very happy and with a month left of the season I can get even better.
"It's not bad, is it? Goals are in my DNA and I want to keep scoring them for the team."
While Ronaldo hogged the headlines, it was an impressive display from Real who will believe that they can secure their 11th Champions League trophy.
Zidane's side, then, will be involved in Friday's Champions League draw alongside Atletico Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Atletico produced a wonderful performance to eliminate holders Barcelona, while Manchester City dumped French outfit PSG out of the competition. Pep Guardiola's Bayern, meanwhile, claimed a 3-2 aggregate victory over Benfica to secure their place in the last four.
