Who will be the next Cristiano Ronaldo when the Real Madrid superstar eventually retires?
Well, we might have just found the answer - Cristiano Jr.
Ronaldo has uploaded a video on YouTube of his son attempting to score penalties against him in his back garden and the five-year-old has a pretty decent strike on him.
His Father made a bet that he had to score one of his three spot-kicks or else he had to do 10 press-ups. Cristiano Jr. accepted and sent his Dad between the sticks on his knees.
His first kick was straight down the middle and was easily saved by the Madrid star.
His second effort was much better but was tipped onto the post by the stand-in goalkeeper.
The pressure was really on, now. Cristiano Jr. had to score his third and final penalty or face the punishment of 10 press-ups.
Watch the video below to find out what happened:
Yes, just like his Dad, Cristiano Jr. can produce when it really matters as he scored with his final attempt.
However, we really have to question the ‘keeper who appeared to let the ball go over his head. A spot of match fixing, perhaps?
Cristiano Jr. does need to work on his celebration, though.
But Ronaldo doesn’t let his son off that lightly. Despite scoring, he orders his son to do the 10 press-ups regardless - we certainly wouldn’t want him to be our Father.
After 10 suspect press-ups - we’ll let him off as he’s only five - Cristiano Jr. gets up and blasts the ball into the empty net. It seems inevitable he’s going to follow in his Father’s footsteps, doesn’t it?
But he’ll need to do more than just penalties and press-ups if he wants to emulate Ronaldo’s incredible career.
The 31-year-old has scored 359 goals in 342 matches for Real Madrid since signing in 2009. He may be heading towards the latter years in his career, but his record this season is simply stunning.
He’s bagged 46 goals in 42 matches this campaign and has given Zinedine Zidane’s side a chance of achieving an incredible double.
Madrid are just four points behind Barcelona in La Liga while they are through to the semi-final of the Champions League.
Progression into the last-four of the competition looked highly unlikely after they lost 2-0 away to Wolfsburg in the first-leg. But Ronaldo took centre-stage with an incredible hat-trick to book their place in the semi-final, where they will face Manchester City.
Ronaldo has a few more years left at the top level but, when he retires, he will probably turn his attention on turning his son into a world superstar.
