Premier League champions Chelsea are gearing up for an overhaul of their underperforming squad this summer in a bid to drastically improve upon their dismal campaign.
And it seems the Blues want to particularly bolster their midfield options, with Paris Saint-Germain's Javier Pastore a reported target, as per The Sun.
It's believed Chelsea have already held talks with the Argentine's representatives and are optimistic of a deal being struck in time for the arrival of incoming manager Antonio Conte.

Whilst PSG stood firm and rejected several offers for Pastore last summer, it seems they are now ready to offload him at the right price.
The £30 million-rated South American has found first-team action hard to come by this season following the arrival of countryman Angel Di Maria and now plans to move elsewhere in search of greater game time.
Chelsea are long-term admirers of the midfielder having scouted him during his Palermo days. Pastore eventually decided on a move to the Parc de Princes, though, whilst the Blues moved for Juan Mata.
They certainly wouldn't be alone in the race to sign the PSG star, with Italy's Juventus also in the hunt.
However, the fact Chelsea's Oscar is also a target of the Old Lady's could work to the Stamford Bridge side's advantage. Conte is reportedly ready to sanction the sale of the Brazilian, who could arrive at the Juventus Stadium this summer and pave way for Pastore to join.
The Argentina international would be the ideal signing to rejuvenate Chelsea's lacklustre midfield - which Conte admitted needs quality additions - and ease the creative burden currently on Cesc Fabregas' shoulders in the centre of the park.
