There have already been rumours abound that Vardy himself will be portrayed by One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, whilst former footballer Vinnie Jones is rumoured to be in line to play Vardy’s former Leicester manager Nigel Pearson.

Ranieri's role

There’s one role that hasn’t been discussed too much, however, and that’s that of Claudio Ranieri. Ranieri himself was asked who he would have portraying him in a Vardy-centric flick. His answer? Robert De Niro.

"I heard something about that. Why not? He’s a fantastic actor," Ranieri said, according to The Sun.

De Niro the man?

Apparently it’s in Ranieri’s character to aim for the stars, which is why De Niro is no real surprise. On top of that he boasts Italian ancestry, so one would assume getting ready for the role would prove no monumental challenge.
