Ever since he was sacked as Chelsea manager in December, Jose Mourinho has been heavily linked with the Manchester United job. However, Louis van Gaal has remained at the helm at Old Trafford and could even lead them to FA Cup glory and a fourth place finish.
Even that doesn’t look to be enough to save his job, though.
The Sunday People are reporting that the Portuguese boss has told his friends that he will be United manager next season - and has already lined up his first signing.

The report states that Mourinho is eyeing a sensational £70 million move for striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The 28-year-old has scored 32 goals this season for Napoli and the Italian club have valued him at £95 million.
However, with just two years left on his current contract, Napoli are likely to lower that valuation.
Signing a new striker would be seen as a priority for Mourinho if he does arrive at Old Trafford in the summer.
Marcus Rashford has helped to salvage United’s campaign but the club have scored just 40 Premier League goals this season - less than Swansea, Crystal Palace and the same as Bournemouth.
Higuain and Mourinho worked together for three seasons at Real Madrid with the pair winning La Liga in the 2011/12 season. The Argentine’s 22 league goals in 35 matches helped Los Blancos reach 100 points, finishing eight ahead of Barcelona.
If Mourinho does take over at the Theatre of Dreams, Higuain is unlikely to be his only signing. The former Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea manager will be given a large transfer budget as he attempts to make the club title challengers once again.
