Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta to White Hart Lane.
This has been reported by the Telegraph, who claim that Arteta could be in line to become a coach at Spurs ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
In fact, the report claims that Pochettino could even offer the Spaniard, who has been at the Gunners since 2011, an initial player-coach role.

Arteta has endured a tricky campaign at the Emirates - he has only featured in eight Premier League games throughout the course of the campaign - so it wouldn't exactly come as a surprise if he opted to depart the club this summer.
The former Everton man may well be out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season but a move to Spurs would prove a controversial one nonetheless.
As well as Tottenham, Manchester City have been credited with an interest in Arteta recently. With Pep Guardiola set to take over at the Etihad ahead of the 2016/17 season, it appears that the revered Spanish coach is hoping to get the Arsenal star on board.
But could Arteta end up at Spurs? Well, the veteran previously starred alongside Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain and described him as his 'footballing father'.
In fact, the Tottenham manager has admitted that he has a history and holds a great relationship with Arteta.
As per the Telegraph, the Tottenham manager stated: “I love him and he loves me. You know our history from Paris St Germain, when he was 17 and I was the captain.
“We have a very good relationship, but I never speak about rumours.”
But, understandably, Arsenal fans won't be too happy if Arteta joins their nearest rivals. With the Spaniard held in high regard in terms of his coaching ability, it appears to be a strange one that the Gunners appear to be behind their rivals to tie down their own player.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger previously snubbed the opportunity to offer his former captain Patrick Vieira a coaching role in north London. The Frenchman opted to learn his trade at Manchester City and is now in charge of New York City. It's safe to say that fans of the club weren't too impressed that someone of the stature of Vieira was ignored by the club.
Arteta may not have the same appeal to the club's faithful as Vieira, but if two of the most respected managers in world football are interested in his services, then the entire situation appears to be an odd one.
