Bayern Munich raised a few eyebrows when they signed Shakhtar Donetsk’s Douglas Costa for €30 million last summer, but the Brazil international is a class act.
The 25-year-old is quick, skillful and makes opposition full-backs work hard every minute he’s on the pitch. He must be an absolute nightmare to play against.
For all of his quality, though, Costa had only scored three Bundesliga goals before today’s 2-0 victory over Hertha Berlin. However, he netted his fourth of the campaign today - and what a goal it was too. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Costa cut in from the right flank and unleashed a stunning left-footed drive that flew into the top left-hand corner of the net.
Thomas Kraft, the Hertha Berlin goalkeeper, didn’t come close to saving it.

Costa enjoying working under Guardiola
Pep Guardiola deserves immense credit for bringing out the best in Costa this season, and the winger immense has enjoyed working under the Catalan coach at the Allianz Arena.
“He tells me to be happy and to use my talent,” Costa told ESPN earlier this season. “Guardiola is exceptional. I've never seen anything like it. The way he works is something new to me.”
There have been rumours that Guardiola will attempt to take Costa with him to Manchester City next season, but it’s difficult to envisage that particular transfer happening.
For starters, Bayern Munich won’t sell the winger and secondly, City already have Kevin de Bruyne and Jesus Navas for that wide-right position.
