There can be little doubting that Chelsea have been weak in certain areas of the pitch this season amid their rotten 2015-16. Despite this, in Thibaut Courtois and Asmir Begovic, the Blues have maintained an impressive goalkeeping arsenal.
However, it is becoming increasingly likely that at least one of these shot-stoppers will be leaving this summer.
As documented by ESPN, Courtois has been worryingly outspoken about his plans and is refusing to commit his future to Chelsea. Furthermore, The Metro has been one of a number of publications suggesting Begovic could leave the club amid his lack of game-time.

Consequently, the Blues should begin perusing the transfer market for goalkeeping replacements. With the west London side potentially losing both their shot-stoppers, investment will be necessary.
Here are three keepers Antonio Conte should look to bring in this summer to cover for this possibility:

Despite only turning 17-years-old within the past two months, the Italian shot-stopper is already attracting a transfer storm. He has been nothing short of a revelation for AC Milan and has made 26 appearances this campaign- defying his age.
The Daily Mail has linked Chelsea with Donnarumma as a potential replacement if Courtois were to depart this summer. Conte’s background in Italian football could also be vital in alluring his fellow national.
Moreover, the youngster would prove a long-term investment for the Blues. This could be very important; as Jose Mourinho’s last tenure shows short-term success isn’t always the greatest prospect for Chelsea.
However, in being Milan through and through and with his agent Mino Raiola rating him at £120 million, the Blues may face a fight to pry him from the San Siro. Nonetheless, if the Stamford Bridge side want to build a dynasty, Donnarumma may be the man.
The England international has been a resounding success at Southampton over the past two years and would prove a desirable purchase for Chelsea. The Sun has suggested the Blues could make a £20 million bid if they lose their grip on Courtois.
Forster made 30 league appearances for the Saints last season in a campaign that saw them concede just 33 goals. Only champions Chelsea could better that tally and just by a solitary strike.
Therefore, while the ex-Celtic star may not possess the acrobatic shot-stopping of keepers such as David de Gea, few can rival his formidable clean sheet record. The Blues will be desperate for a return to stability next year and Forster would certainly bring that.
Moreover, his Premier League experience will see him sufficiently adapted to catching crosses while under intense physical pressure. Forster is also unlikely to be put off by Chelsea’s lack of Champions League football.
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen
While it seems baffling that any goalkeeper would turn their back on the success and riches of Barcelona, Ter Stegen has been left frustrated over a lack of game time this season. Claudio Bravo has played all but four of the Catalans’ league fixtures in 2015-16 and thus his German colleague is believed to be itching for a move.
Chelsea should certainly be interested as a result albeit a number of clubs also being linked. There are few better shot-stoppers in world football and this was demonstrated during Barcelona’s charge to the 2015 Champions League title.
Furthermore, at just 23-years-old he is still yet to reach his peak but is also heavily experienced at the highest level. Ter Stegen has even garnered a reputation as a consistent penalty saver and has five caps for Germany.
If Courtois or Begovic did leave this summer, Chelsea would certainly know what they were getting in Ter Stegen. A lack of European football could break any potential deal however.
Chelsea can’t afford to be complacent if one of their shot-stoppers slips through the exit. The Blues need to open their wallet and ensure they build their success from between the sticks and beyond in 2016-17.
