It's safe to say that Theo Walcott is enduring a tricky time at Arsenal right now.

The England international has failed to establish himself as a key man for Arsene Wenger's side recently and hasn't produced the required performances throughout the course of the campaign.

In truth, Walcott hasn't been able to prove his credentials on a consistent basis up front or on the wing.

Once again on Sunday, Walcott started the game from the bench at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland.

The 27-year-old was given a shot at redemption, however, as he came on in the second-half in an attempt to help his side score that elusive goal against Sam Allardyce's battling side.

But things didn't go to play for Arsene Wenger and co. as the Gunners were held to a 0-0 draw. In fact, it's now mathematically impossible for Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season, meaning their drought will continue for yet another year.

Walcott, of course, has been prominent for the north London outfit for over a decade but has failed to help the club deliver the league title in that period.

While the Emirates faithful have hit out at Walcott on a number of occasions for his below-par performances, they attacked him once again on Sunday over one specific incident.

Indeed, as you can see in the video below, the versatile forward opted against going in for a 50/50 challenge with former Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul.

Instead of tackling the defender, Walcott decided to jump over him and make no attempt to claim the ball.

As you can image, disgruntled Arsenal supporters quickly took to social media.

Here's the video and the reaction from fans of the club:

On the move?

In all honesty, Walcott's time as an Arsenal player really could be approaching its final stages. For one reason or another, he just hasn't been able to express himself for the club week in, week out.

It may well be best for all involved if he moves on at the end of the season and begins a new chapter in his career.

Let's be honest, there will be a number of clubs interested in Walcott's signature - he's still an extremely talented player - but things have failed to progress for him at Arsenal in recent years. It will certainly prove to be an interesting summer period for the attacker.
