Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows shocked the world on the April 11 edition of Monday Night Raw when they attacked Jimmy and Jey Uso.
With AJ Styles announced as the new number-one contender for the WWE Championship, Anderson and Gallows then attacked Roman Reigns the following week, sparking speculation of a Bullet Club reunion.
Previous former leader, Finn Balor recently dropped the NXT Championship to Samoa Joe, which many WWE fans have taken to be a sign that 'The Demon' will appear at WWE Payback.

If this is the case, then it's possible the four former Bullet Club members could be involved in a big storyline revolving around Roman Reigns defending against AJ Styles.
Here are seven possible booking directions that WWE could take this story at Payback.

7. Absolutely Nowhere
Although it's not the popular choice, we have to mention this as it is a possibility.
It is completely possible that WWE will choose not to have Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and Finn Balor anywhere near the WWE Championship match. This could mean Roman Reigns would defeat AJ Styles clean, or AJ Styles could defeat Roman Reigns clean.
While this is not the preferred direction of many fans, it could happen.
This wouldn't be a smart decision on WWE's part. They've already built up the foundations for a storyline here. Previous editions of Raw have shown that Anderson, Gallows, and Styles are certainly involved with each other - but WWE might decide not to capitalize on that.
This could be done in a number of ways, the most common would be for AJ Styles to ask his boys not to come down to ringside under any circumstances.
6. Introduction of New Members
Right now, we are all focused on four men. AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. While once again unlikely, it's possible that WWE could involve some other superstars into the mix and reform the stable with new recruits.
It was reported last week that there are rumours of WWE going down this line although no names have been confirmed.
This could potentially be quite dangerous for WWE. It could result in the stable becoming a mess of names and random member inductions just for the sake of surprise.
It seems smart to keep this just between Balor, Styles, Anderson and Gallows as they are the foundations of the group. While it wouldn't be the smartest decision, it could still happen.
5. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows turn on AJ Styles/Finn Balor
The two common questions that people are asking are "Will AJ Styles turn on Finn Balor?" and "Will Finn Balor turn on AJ Styles?"
While they are the most likely scenarios, one betrayal that has been overlooked is one from the former IWGP Tag Team Champions, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows. They could potentially cost AJ Styles the championship leading to Finn Balor making the save.
This would mean that AJ Styles and Finn Balor would temporarily become a tag team in order to face Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. The team has turned on both men in the past could do so again at Payback.
4. The Bullet Club reunited
Yet another overlooked scenario is the Bullet Club reforming with AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Finn Balor if he's there.
There is no guarantee that anyone will turn on another in the group, but it is possible that this could be WWE's new stable that goes on to run rough shot over the entire WWE. If this does happen, it would make sense to give the group the WWE Championship.
AJ Styles and Finn Balor were never in the Bullet Club together at the same time. Finn Balor, then known as Prince Devitt, was ousted by the group before Styles entered. This would be the first time they've worked together as part of the stable, but Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have teamed with both Styles and Balor.
3. Bullet Club accidentally cost AJ Styles the WWE Championship
One route that WWE always loves to go down is the "teammates accidentally cost friend the championship which teases breakup" route.
Payback might not see a turn at all, but it could be the first step into planting the seeds for one. With the betting odds firmly in Roman Reigns's favour, this is definitely a possibility as AJ Styles is considered unlikely to leave the event as the new champion.
This scenario doesn't necessarily need Finn Balor there to work. It's fully possible that he'll be involved in Payback somehow. If this is the direction they choose to go, Finn Balor could attempt to help AJ Styles win, Styles rejects the help wanting to win fairly and runs into a huge spear from the defending WWE Champion, Roman Reigns.
2. AJ Styles/Karl Anderson/Luke Gallows turn on Finn Balor
The April 18 edition of Raw proved to WWE fans that there is still a great deal of allegiance between the three men.
WWE almost purposely have failed to mention how Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows actually turned on AJ Styles back in Japan before he came to WWE. Since this has happened, if Finn Balor is there at Payback, WWE could turn things around and have the three men unite against the first leader.
Balor and Styles have both been leaders of the Bullet Club which would already indicate that there is a level of jealousy between the men. This scenario would turn AJ Styles heel which is unlikely on the basis that he is one of the top merchandise sellers right now in the company.
Although he can still do this as a heel, he will not be as marketable towards the children demographic.
1. Finn Balor/Karl Anderson/Luke Gallows turn on AJ Styles
This is the most likely booking direction that WWE will choose to take.
Tension has already been teased between Karl Anderson/Luke Gallows and AJ Styles with them attacking Roman Reigns despite Styles apparently not wanting that. Like mentioned in the second entry to this list, Balor and Styles were both Bullet Club leaders so the foundations of jealousy already exist.
Many fans have predicted that this will be what happens to lead to Roman Reigns regaining the WWE Championship at Payback. It's the most likely scenario and would be a good way to bring Finn Balor up to the main roster during Payback rendering him the leader of his own stable.
While WWE hasn't called this group the "Bullet Club", WWE has apparently issued for a trademark of the name "Bulletproof Balorclub" which would indicate Finn Balor will be leading.
