We’ve heard numerous stories about punters winning life-changing amounts of money after placing a bet on Leicester to win the Premier League before the start of the season.
The Foxes were 5000/1 for the title before a ball was kicked and are now as short as 1/25 on to lift the trophy after Spurs’ 1-1 draw with West Brom left them seven points clear with just three matches remaining.
If Leicester are crowned as champions, they will become the biggest single price winner in history.

With the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea all failing in their title bids, you’d expect bookmakers to be quids in. However, William Hill has revealed that, if Claudio Ranieri’s side win the league, they all face pay-outs of more than £3 million.
The title could be wrapped up this weekend when Leicester visit Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday. Even if they don’t win, Spurs will need a result in their tough away match against Chelsea on Monday.

It’s believed that 25 people - 24 men and one woman - placed bets at the bookmaker to win the title at 5000/1, although 40% of those bets have now been cashed out.
However, there’s a combined total of £35 currently live which would mean William Hill will need to pay out an extra £191,128 if Leicester do win the league.
One customer, Leigh Herbert, placed £5 on the side to win the league at the beginning of the campaign and has already cashed in £2 of his bet for more than £5,000. The remaining £3 could see the 39-year-old land an additional £15,000.
The largest single payout will be to someone who placed a £75 each-way bet shortly after the season began. He stands to win an incredible £112,500.
Throughout the course of the season, William Hill have taken £378,892 on Leicester to win the league at contrasting prices and, should Leicester complete their incredible season, they will have to pay out £3,015,673.
Although most of the nation are cheering on Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and co. - it’s clear that bookmakers aren’t. The side need just three more points to guarantee the title with remaining fixtures against United, Everton and Chelsea.
