With the news that broke in the past few days regarding the split up of the ‘League Of Nations’ stable, it is arguable that this will mean a main event push for Alberto Del Rio, Rusev and Sheamus as individual competitors.
However, considering the age of all three men, together with their individual histories in the WWE, it is most likely that Rusev will be given the push by WWE out of the three men to get a WWE title shot.
He is the only man out of the three that is yet to win a WWE World Heavyweight Championship, whereas Sheamus & Alberto Del Rio have both held the championship four times respectively.

The stable has been breaking down in recent weeks, following their dumping of Wade Barrett and then their fallout this week on SmackDown. The trio were in a six-man tag match, but after a disagreement in the ring, they all eventually left the ring leading to a count-out.
Backstage after the match, Sheamus announced that the League of Nations was no longer a team.

Considering Rusev’s ‘tough guy’ gimmick, the heat he receives as a heel and his initial pushes toward the main event card, now is the perfect time for 'The Bulgarian Brute' to be given the push he deserves. He is an excellent in-ring competitor as well as a great heel that WWE could utilise in the future.
If we also consider how the WWE is trying to push Roman Reigns as a face to the fans, it would also be a smart business decision to allow Rusev to become WWE champion. Once this occurs, WWE could work with Rusev on becoming a strong heel champion, which would then allow Roman Reigns the opportunity to get over as a face with the fans once again.
WWE PPV ‘Money in the Bank’ is two months away (set to take place on June 19th in Las Vegas, Nevada) and could be the ideal setting for all three former League Of Nations members to compete for the chance of facing the WWE Champion.
This would also settle the debate concerning who is the ‘strongest link’ out of the stable, considering this wasn’t addressed before, and the only truly memorable moments from this stable has been their WrestleMania beat down at the hands of WWE Hall Of Fame members Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin, as well as, the elimination of Wade Barrett from the group.
