Seth Rollins has been on WWE's treatment table since November last year when he as injured at a live show in the UK whilst performing a routine sunset flip on Kane.

It was reported that Rollins suffered a torn MCL, ACL and medical Meniscus and was forced onto the side lines for up to nine months.

Rollins is due to return to WWE imminently and the WWE Universe is currently speculating the way the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion could make a return with the most popular theory stating that Rollins could return with the title he never actually lost.

REHASHING OLD STORYLINES?

The current speculation suggests that Seth Rollins could make an epic WWE return in the build up to this year's SummerSlam with his own Championship belt. Rollins will then claim that he never lost the Championship so Reigns is not the official Champion and then push for a match between the two to decide who the real Champion at SummerSlam.

Many of the WWE Universe will remember that WWE has already used this story line, but it was almost five years ago when John Cena and CM Punk were on opposing sides following the Money in the Bank event in 2011.

Punk failed to sign a contract extension and then left the pay-per-view through the crowd before returning to WWE TV the following week, in that time WWE had crowned a new Champion in Rey Mysterio who later lost the title to John Cena and the two had a showdown at SummerSlam where CM Punk won the title, which he held onto for a record 434 days.

ROLLINS VERSES REIGNS?

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are still yet to face off in a one-on-one match at a WWE Pay-per-view, since both times WWE have tried to set up the match one of the competitors have been forced on the side lines.

Rollins and Reigns should have fought at Night of Champions 2014 but Reigns was forced out of action due to an incarcerated hernia before Rollins then suffered an injury late last year that forced him out of their scheduled Survivor Series match.

This is a match fans have been wanting for a long time and it would be a fantastic idea to finally have a match to decide who the rightful Champion is, Seth was on his way to a record breaking run with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and since Roman is already a three time Champion, it would be interesting to see who the better man is.
