This is a huge night for Liverpool as they look to reach the final of the European competition.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, it will be down to the fans to inspire a similar comeback to the one against Borussia Dortmund last month.
Admittedly, the task isn’t quite as imposing. Liverpool have 90 minutes to score twice (if Villarreal don’t score), whereas against Dortmund they ended up needing four goals in 45 minutes.
Still, don’t let that detract from the challenge ahead.

90 minutes from the final
Jurgen Klopp knows that victory in the Europa League is the only way for his team to qualify for next season’s Champions League. That will boost Liverpool’s appeal as Klopp looks to strengthen his squad in the summer.
The German knows how important the fans will be in tonight’s game, telling reporters, per the Telegraph: “If we can create - with our game - a similar atmosphere as we did against Dortmund, then it will be much more difficult for Villarreal than they imagine in this moment. That is how it is.”
Should Liverpool reach the final, they will meet either Sevilla or Shakhtar Dontesk. Last week’s first leg in Ukraine ended 2-2, giving the Spanish side, and reigning champions, the advantage with two away goals.
