WWE released eight superstars earlier this week and whilst many of those releases came as no surprise, many of the WWE Universe were hit hard by the release of Damien Sandow.
Sandow was one of the most creative and entertaining superstars on WWE's roster and despite the fact that WWE had him jobbing out most weeks in short matches, he was a superstar that the crowd were firmly behind every step of the way.
It is now thought that Sandow will head over to many different Independent promotions or even find some fame in TNA after WWE failed to cash in on the stars full potential.

DID WWE MISS A BIG CHANCE?
From The Intellectual Savior of the Masses to Team Rhodes Scholars and from Damien Mizdow to Macho Mandow and even in his short run as Mr Money in the Bank, Damien was always the most entertaining superstar in the ring.
WWE didn't want to push Sandow and so they allowed him to dress up as a hated person from whichever city they were in each week and then had a face superstar come out and attack him for cheap heat, but somewhere along the line the fans actually got behind Sandow and WWE were forced to give him a story line.
Becoming The Miz's stunt double was an ingenious idea and it allowed fans to firmly put their faith in him as a performer as every week they begged him to turn on his employer until finally he did before he headed off to partner Curtis Axel as the duo made up the Megapowers.
This was a thoroughly entertaining team that WWE broke up too soon and never fully allowed the WWE Universe to see them at their full potential.
SO MUCH POTENTIAL LOST?
WWE recently signed former TNA superstar Eric Young to their NXT roster and it has led many of the WWE Universe into believing that Sandow and Young could have made a fantastic tag team.
Sandow could have gone on to have a much longer career than WWE actually gave him, but now much like Drew McIntyre, Evan Bourne and many others who were released from WWE at the prime of their career, he is now free to join another promotion that will see the potential he actually has.
Damien is a born entertainer and if he does decide to join TNA then he would be a Champion in a matter of months and the company will give him the freedom on the mic that WWE never did, WWE's loss is definitely the rest of the wrestling world's gain and hopefully this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful career.
