One of the main topics taking the wrestling world by storm this week has been the eight WWE wrestlers released from their WWE contracts.
While some of the releases such as Cameron, Zeb Colter, King Barrett and El Torito were to be expected, there were a few surprises such as Hornswoggle and Damien Sandow.
Big fan reaction
The release of Damien Sandow has been met with the most criticism from fans believing that he is one of the better talents on the roster.

Despite this, there are several candidates who fans believe should have been released instead of the intellectual saviour of the masses.

Adam Rose is currently a member of the Social Outcasts on a 60-day suspension for violated the Wellness Policy although this has been disputed heavily by him.
Adam Rose has advocated his innocence on a number of occasions via Social Media platforms.
Many expected this to spell the end of Adam Rose as WWE generally doesn't like bad publicity and wrestlers speaking out.
Although Rose has now managed to produce a doctors certificate proving that the drugs in his system were prescription, he still remains suspended.
Another case of wrestlers speaking out comes in the form of Ryback.
Following two unsuccessful United States Championship matches on the Kick-off show of both Wrestlemania 32 and WWE Payback, Ryback has been unhappy with his position - something he has been very vocal about.
With Ryback's contract currently being in dispute, many thought that WWE would actually pull the plug on the Big Guy in favour of pushing such big guys as Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin or even Big Cass.
This wasn't the case and Ryback remains signed to a WWE contract that is currently being negotiated despite many feeling that he is living on borrowed time.
With WWE seeing an influx of new tag teams such as the Vaudevillians and Enzo and Cass, many thought that the annual spring cleaning would mark the end of the Lucha Dragons.
Sin Cara is perhaps one of the biggest failures in WWE of the last few years with the character coming in with such hype and falling so hard.
The second half of the Lucha Dragons, Kalisto is the current United States Champion and doing well for himself as a singles competitor.
It would make a lot of sense and also benefit the career of Kalisto if the Lucha Dragons split up and the release of Sin Cara from his WWE contract would have done just that.
Well, last week's episode of Smackdown saw Darren Young thrown into a brand new storyline featuring Bob Backlund.
Backlund has now become Darren Young's life coach pledging to make him "great again" in what many believe to be a spoof of Donald Trump and his US presidency campaign.
Many believed that Darren Young would have been released from contract back in the annual spring clean of 2013 however weeks prior to the releases, he came out as homosexual.
If WWE were to release the first openly homosexual wrestler on their roster just weeks after coming out, it would have meant a great deal of negative publicity.
Why he has made the cut this time is anyone's guess, but if their current angle with Young and Backlund doesn't pan out like they hope, it could be the final nail in the former Prime Time Players' coffin.
Those four superstars however managed to hold onto their WWE contracts to the surprise of many. Who do YOU think should have been released? Have YOUR say in the comment section.
