Shinsuke Nakamura has only been in the WWE for what feels like five minutes, but it seems as if he’s already making a huge name for himself.
After his impressive debut against Sami Zayn at NXT Takeover Dallas in April, the King of Strong Style has taken the company’s developmental roster by storm, and it appears that this eminence is not about to waver anytime soon.
Nakamura’s merchandise sales have gone through the roof since the former three-time IWGP Heavyweight champion’s debut at NXT's latest PPV.

Last week saw the release of Shinsuke’s very first official NXT t-shirt, an issue that sold out immediately.
The unconditional love shown by the WWE universe to the Japanese superstar has seen his merchandise outsell the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins, some of the company’s biggest stars both in and out of the ring.
Shinsuke came only second to The New Day and the gold mine that is the Booty-O’s gimmick, a stat that could bode well for the NXT star.
History suggests that huge merchandise figures have influenced major decisions in WWE creative too.
The likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena are renowned as the company's biggest ever superstars, two wrestlers that have also enjoyed lucrative merch sales. And if you are looking at more recent success stories then look no further than The New Day.
The New Day have gone from a largely annoying faction to a gargantuan, sumptuous stable that has quite literally taken audiences by storm whether it be live at the arena or live from the couch.
The prosperity and success that they have had in the ring as Tag Team champions has led to them having one of the longest reigns in WWE history.
