Liverpool fans can be confident that Jurgen Klopp probably won’t be selling Adam Lallana anytime soon.
As rumours circulate that the midfielder is attracting interest from Tottenham, a journalist’s chat with Klopp in which the Liverpool manager heaped praise on Lallana is beginning to do the rounds.
Fox Sports’ reporter Keith Costigan spoke with the 48-year-old after last week’s 3-0 win over Villarreal and Klopp was glowing about Lallana’s performance.

The England international scored in the win and has shown a clear willingness to buy into Klopp’s intense system. The German’s style is built upon pressing the opposition and few do that better than Lallana.
And as fans rave about the performances of Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho, Klopp thinks the former Southampton man could do with a little more praise.
“Klopp told me Lallana should not be unsung,” Costigan said. “Said he could sing 10 songs about him. Called him the team’s hunter. First line of press.”
The impact of Lallana’s work rate is only really noticeable if he forces a mistake, but there’s a lot more to it than that.
He helps the players behind him get into position and galvanises his teammates. Fans will always cheer for a player willing to put in the graft.
That’s why they want him to stay. Whether he starts a game or comes off the bench, more often than not Lallana makes a difference.
Tottenham are reportedly preparing a £20m bid for the 28-year-old, but former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann thinks it would be “big surprise” if Klopp allows him to leave.
“If Lallana were to leave, it would be a big surprise because he has come good lately and shown improved form under the new manager,” Hamann told talkSPORT.
“He is a very talented player. He is one of the players I love to watch and one of the players England has really produced in the last ten to 15 years who has got beautiful balance, uses both feet, has great vision.”
Klopp loves Joe Allen, too
Klopp’s appraisal of Lallana is similar to his recent comments about another Liverpool midfielder, Joe Allen.
Allen, like Lallana, is a smart player who can be relied upon to give 100 per cent.
As a result, Klopp loves him.
“In the meeting today I said it would be cool if he could play 'Joe Allen football’,” the German said after Sunday’s 2-0 win over Watford, per the Liverpool Echo. “Good, brilliant technique, hard-working, very lively, very energetic. He's a great player.
“He takes the situation brilliantly, he is a wonderful boy and a professional player. Today, without Joe, the game would have been completely different.”
